About
About esap.pro
esap.pro exists because the European Single Access Point will change how company data is read across the EU, and most of what is written about it is either a legal alert for one country or a vendor's brochure. We wanted one place that explains ESAP in plain language, for every Member State, with sources — and that computes its own numbers instead of repeating someone else's.
What we publish
- Guides on what ESAP is, when it applies and what it changes, written for people who have to act on it: finance teams, investor-relations officers, advisers, auditors and data users.
- Dates, kept current from the regulation and official announcements, with what each one means in practice.
- Data — our own analysis of the public index of ESEF filings, updated after every reporting season. Aggregates only; no rankings of named companies.
- Positions — where we think something is overstated (for example, "ESAP visibility" for SMEs before the standards exist), we say so and label it as our reading.
Principles
- Measurement over claims. A number on this site is either computed by us from a named dataset or quoted from a named source. We do not pass on estimates as facts.
- A source next to every statement. Each guide ends with the legal texts and documents it rests on. If we cannot source something, we say it is our reading.
- Dates on everything. Every page shows when it was published and last reviewed. ESAP is a moving target; an undated page about it is a liability.
- Privacy by design. The site sets no cookies and loads nothing from third parties. The only personal data we process is what you send us.
- Independence. We are not affiliated with ESMA, the European Commission, any national competent authority, collection body, filing-software vendor or filing agent. We do not tag, file or audit reports.
Who we are
esap.pro is operated by Ethicalc sp. z o.o., a software and data-systems company based in Gdańsk, Poland. Ethicalc builds and maintains systems on large public datasets — national registers that do not agree with each other on identifiers, coordinate systems or formats — and statistical models evaluated on data the model has not seen. Its work spans systems for the legal sector and bespoke systems for companies, maintained through their whole life cycle, not only until launch.
The team behind esap.pro also knows regulatory reporting from the filer's side: a company in the same group reports to a supervisor under EU financial-markets rules. That experience — deadlines, validations, what a supervisor does with a file after it arrives — is why this site reads the way it does.
How to cite us
Text and tables on this site may be quoted with attribution and a link to the page. Suggested form: esap.pro (Ethicalc sp. z o.o.), "[page title]", [date of the page], https://esap.pro/[page]. The aggregate data tables are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. For reuse beyond quotation, write to us.
Corrections
If you find an error — a date, a figure, a reading of the regulation — please tell us by email. We correct the page, note the correction at the bottom of it, and credit you if you wish.
Languages
The site is published in English. Country-specific guides in the local language (Polish first) are planned; each will state the collection body, the national portal and the metadata rules of that country.
